Our Team

The neighbors of Olympic Hills look forward to the annual tradition as a way to work together for a common goal. The kids who originally started the stand have grown up and moved away, but the tradition has carried on. Many of the kids who currently assist the stand weren't alive on 9/11 but have learned the importance of it.

Our History

Every year September 11 marks an important day of remembrance of a tragic event in our nations history. For the Olympic Hills neighborhood, it is a day to give back to the people who were affected by the events of 9/11. What started as a stand with a thermos of lemonade and two sheets of cookies has become an annual tradition that has raised over $66,317.49 in over 19 years!

Our Mission

Over the years, the group has choosen various charities to donate their money to. This year the donations will go to an all local, all volunteer, 501c3 non profit called the North Star Marine Veterans who earmarked the donations for the MN Veterans Home in Hastings and the JROTC Como Park HS program which are terrific programs in need of our support. To commemorate 20 years of community service by the kids of the olympic hills 9/11 lemonade stand we are planting a tree and a memorial bench at the Veterans Memorial located at the Purgatory Creek Pavillion in Eden Prairie.
